It has been about a month since Armando and I became pet parents, and life has definitely been a little fun and hectic since our little pup came into our home. That experience deserves its own post, so I will postpone that story for now.
I have not made time to take any outfit photos since the beginning of the year, but I have a backlog of photos to review from previous shoots that I still want to share while we get back to a normal routine, like the outfit featured today. Armando and I snapped this about 2 years ago in April. I love looking back and seeing what I put together because lately, the inspiration hasn’t been there when it comes to getting dressed in the morning when the weather makes me think twice about wearing my suede shoes. We had some sun this last weekend, but I was dog sitting and needed to be ready to walk up to four dogs and do some much-needed yard work.
Our new home is coming together and we filed our taxes this weekend (#adulting!)  I am also back in the swing of taking a marketing class and have finally registered for the Marketing Certification Program through UC Extension. I am committed to complete the required courses, and sometimes it can feel daunting to do that, maintain a home, maintain relationships, and a side hustle, and I am here to say if you feel like me, it is okay if you can’t get to it all. I will admit my home can sometimes be messier than I would like, but hey, now I have rooms I can throw things into in case we have guests over, so it isn’t a big deal! As long as you make time for the important things, don’t beat yourself up if you can’t get to it all. You’ll catch up because you are capable of more than you realize.

Until next time,

Brandy

  1. Even though it's old I feel like you could've taken these today. I've had a denim shirt in my wardrobe for the longest time and I never felt confident styling it so maybe a statement necklace over it is what I need. I haven't been feeling very inspired with my outfits either, one day is sunny, the next is rainy, I don't know how to dress. I wish you and your puppy the best, they'll be puppies forever but when they're really little is so fun.

    1. Thanks Marta! I think it really is a testament of buying good quality clothes that don't go out of style right away if you can look back and see that it could be worn again and still look fresh. Denim shirts are my favorite to style! I also love tucking them into high waist black pants. The sun is finally out for me, so I am starting to feel a lot more inspired, but my other trick is looking at stuff I haven't worn and finding a way to incorporate it or restyle it. Hope you swing back to the blog for my post on the pup and I look forward to seeing if you style your denim shirt.
